Effective date: August 2026
Applies to: camsoda-ai.org and every page published on it.
We are the publisher of camsoda-ai.org. This document sets out what personal data passes through the site, who touches it, and what you can require of us. It is organised by subject so you can read only the part you came for.
Data We Process
Information you send us voluntarily
Messages to [email protected], together with the name, address and any detail you chose to put in them. Nothing on the site obliges you to write to us, and we never require more than a way to reply.
Information collected automatically
IP address, browser and version, operating system, device type, referring page, the pages you opened and how long each was open. This is standard web-server and analytics data; it is what makes it possible to say that a page was read four hundred times without knowing who any of those readers were.
Information stored in your browser
Cookies, local storage entries and tracking pixels. Some hold your consent choices and other site settings; some are analytical; some belong to advertising or affiliate partners and record that a visit came from us.
Purposes
We use the above to answer correspondence, to keep the site available and defended against abuse, to understand in aggregate which comparisons are useful, to attribute referrals to the partners whose offers we list, and to comply with obligations that apply to any publisher. Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is legitimate interest for the operational and editorial purposes, consent for non-essential cookies, and legal obligation for records we are required to keep.
Three things we do not do, stated plainly because visitors ask: we do not sell personal data; we do not send marketing email; we do not create profiles about individual readers or make automated decisions about them.
Sharing and Third Parties
Our suppliers
Hosting, content delivery, email, analytics, and the affiliate and advertising networks that count referrals. Each is contractually restricted to processing data for the service it provides to us.
Everyone else
Only where the law or a competent authority requires it, where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or where the site or the business changes hands — and then only with the obligations in this notice attached. Outbound links to the services we review are not sharing: they take you to a separate operator whose own policy governs from that point on.
Rights, by Where You Live
EEA and United Kingdom
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority. We answer within one month and charge nothing for it.
California
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, and the purpose; request deletion or correction; limit the use of sensitive personal information, of which we collect none; and opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not engage in. Exercising these rights never results in a worse service — there is only one version of camsoda-ai.org and everybody sees it.
Virginia and other US states
Comparable rights of access, correction, deletion and portability, plus the right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling, and a right of appeal if we refuse a request. Appeals go to the same address as the original request and are reviewed by someone other than the person who answered first.
Any of these requests: [email protected]. Please tell us which right you are exercising, so we do not have to guess.
Retention, Location and Security
We keep each category only as long as its purpose lasts: weeks for raw logs, months for correspondence once a matter closes, and aggregated form thereafter for statistics. Our providers operate in the European Union and the United States, and cross-border transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Protection is by encryption in transit, patched systems, restricted access and — most effectively — by collecting as little as the site can function on. We do not claim that any of this makes interception impossible.
Children and Browser Signals
camsoda-ai.org is for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we discover it. Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track”, as no consistent standard for it exists, but it does respect the cookie choices you make here and the settings you apply in your browser.
Updates
This notice is revised when our processing or the law changes, and the effective date above moves accordingly. Continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the current version.
